Stewie2k has been at the forefront of American CSGO and has had a decorated career. He and his Cloud 9 teammates were the first American CSGO Pro players to win a value-sponsored major in CSGO. A feat that will seal the name of Stewie2k in the history books of CSGO.
Unlike other professional players, Stewie2k’s gaming journey did not have a good start. Growing up, Stewie2k had a rough childhood. His parents were often away from town, leaving the young Stewie2k alone. School also did not go well for Stewie2k, and to relieve all of his stress, he picked up CSGO.
Stewie2k was so good at the game that he dominated faceit PUG matches leaving other players very annoyed by his rad playstyle. Stewie2k was referred to as the “smoke criminal” due to his uncanny characteristic of peeking through smoke grenades.
Stewie2k started missing school for his love of the game, which annoyed his parents. Due to the circumstances, Stewie2k could not sign with a Pro team because he was not 18 yet, and his parents would not let him pursue a career in professional CSGO.
Finally, on the eve of his 18th birthday, Stew signed with Cloud9, one of the top NA organizations of that time. Immediately after signing off with Cloud9, Stewie2k showed sparks of brilliance, but it was not until 2018 E-league major that Stewie2k showed his worth by bringing home the first major for North America.
The 2018 E-league Boston major was just the starting point for Stewie2k. After the major, Stewie2k proved that he was not only one of the most gifted players in North America but also one of the best in-game leaders in the game.
Stewie2k’s amazing performance led him to sign with the team Liquid, but that stint was not for long. He bounced between teams and now plays with Evil Geniuses as their IGL (in-game leader) and the Riffler (entry fragger).
